Executive Presentation Training

In today’s competitive marketplace, the ability to deliver a persuasive presentation matters more than ever. This program introduces executives, business owners, attorneys and other professionals to the practical skills necessary for delivering effective stand-up presentations. Delivered in half-day, full-day or multiple-day programs, participants learn by doing, through exercises and video-coaching that help them:

  • Organize and deliver presentations.
  • Turn stage fright into positive energy.
  • Capitalize on natural strengths and enthusiasm.
  • Enhance meaning via natural nonverbal technique (vocal characteristics,  hand gestures, facial expressions, eye contact and other body language).
  • Mine personal experiences for stories that will help audiences connect.
  • Incorporate humor and emotion appropriately and successfully.
  • Select  and handle visuals (slides and other media) that support and enhance the presentation.
  • Remain in control of Q & A’s and/or follow-up discussions.
  • Develop strong executive presence.

Business Presentation Training

Pitching business, leading meetings and delivering information to stakeholders are essential and constant parts of the professional’s responsibilities. This type of presentation, which tends to be seen as less formal, actually requires enormous strategic effort as well as a strong executive presence. The challenge is to make it look effortless. At the same time they are delivering their business presentations, speakers have the responsibility for building and/or maintaining rapport with both their clients and their own team. Through role practice and video-coaching participants will learn to:

  • Identify a main message and supporting points.
  • Manage within presentation team: assign roles and direct focus from speaker to speaker and from speaker to decision-maker(s).
  • Maintain physical energy and executive presence while seated.
  • Integrate presentation materials, handouts, and visual media.
  • Remain in control of Q & A’s and/or follow-up discussions.
  • Anticipate and deal with typical and unexpected interruptions using tact and skill.
  • Create and maintain rapport through client-engagement techniques.
  • Arrange strategic seating.

Voice & Diction for Professionals

Listen to Ruth on the Professional Speaking Voice.

It has long been known that having a strong and confident speaking voice and crisp diction are great assets. The best speakers and presenters play their voices as a musician plays a fine instrument. For executives who are delivering presentations and/or speeches, training in the proper use of this powerful asset is essential. Offered privately, This training helps clients:

  • Use the voice more effectively by improving tone, pitch, rate and breath control and developing flexibility and resonance.
  • Improve pronunciation.
  • Eliminate bad habits.
  • Apply proper grammar and usage.
  • Eliminate vocal strain and fatigue.
  • Appreciate the uniqueness of one’s individual sound and style and build upon it.
  • Reduce local and regional accents and dialects.
